DISTRIBUTION OF SCHOOL  SUPPLIES TO TACDUGAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Ticao Island Resort would like to thank Heathcote Public School, Australia for supporting Ticao Island Resort’s Community Development Project. The children of Tacdugan Elementary School started the 2010-2011 school year with excitement and joy as the school supplies from Heathcote Public School were distributed.  Over 300 elementary school students at Tacdugan Elementary School on Ticao Island benefitted from this donation.

Ticao Island Resort Community Development Projects:

• Continuous support for Tacdugan Elementary School in terms of providing school supplies, books, and volunteer teachers
• Mangrove Replanting (in coordination with Siliman University)
• Protection of Reefs (in coordination with the Philippine Commission on Sports Scuba Diving)
• Establishment of a Cooperative for the community to support various alternative livelihood projects (coordination with Barangay Captain, Bob Omilgo)
• Waste Management Project
• Proper toilet facilities for the community
