Getting there

gothere The first step is to get to Legaspi City. By air, you can take an hour’s plane ride from either Manila or Cebu. Air Philippines, Cebu Pacific Air, Philippine Airlines, and Zest Air have frequent flights to Legaspi City.

Should you opt for land transfer, you also have the option to take a bus or a private van from Manila to Legaspi City. The trip from Manila to Legaspi will take about 10 hours.

Once in Legaspi City, Ticao Island Resort provides private arrangements to get to the resort. The travel will consist of land transfers in an air conditioned vehicle and an outrigger boat ride. Contact us at info@ticao-island-resort.com for details.

If you decide not to take private transfers, there is always the option to take public transportation from Legaspi to Ticao Island Resort. The advised routes are detailed below:

Via Pilar and Monreal:

  • From the Legaspi Satellite Terminal, take a public bus, van, or shuttle from Legaspi to Pilar (approximately 1-1.5 hours). There are vans and buses that leave Legaspi every hour starting from about 5AM to about 4PM. This will cost approximately PHP100.
  • From Pilar, take a public ferry to Monreal. The public ferry leaves Pilar for Monreal at 12 noon daily and the return trip from Monreal to Pilar leaves at 7AM daily (approximately 1.5 hours). This will cost approximately PHP100.
  • From Monreal, take either a motorcycle to Ticao Island Resort. (approximately 20-30min). This will cost about PHP200 per motorcycle.

Total travel time (not including layovers/waiting time) is approximately 3.5 hours and total cost would be about PHP400 per person.

Via Bulan and San Jacinto:

  • From the Legaspi Satellite Terminal, take a public bus, van, or shuttle to Bulan (approximately 2.5 hours). There are vans and buses that leave Legaspi every hour starting from about 5AM to about 4PM. This will cost between PHP100 to PHP200 per head depending on the type of transportation.
  • From Bulan, take a public ferry to San Jacinto. (approximately 1 hour). This will cost PHP100. The Bulan to San Jacinto ferry leaves at 6AM, 8AM, 10AM, and 1PM and the return trips from San Jacinto to Bulan leave at 5AM, 7AM, 9AM, and 12PM.NOTE: If accommodations are needed at Bulan, One Conception Place is a 5 minute walk to the Bulan Pier. The room rate is PHP750 per room per night.
  • From San Jacinto, take either a motorcycle or hire a boat to Ticao Island Resort (approximately 20-30min). The motorcycle rate is PHP150 per person and a boat good for 4 people will cost about PHP500.

Total travel time (not including layovers/waiting time) is approximately 4 hours and total cost would be about PHP450 per person.
