DIVING

Ticao Island Resort is surrounded by several dive sites where you have the choice of big or small. Some dive sites, like the Manta Bowl, is the cleaning and feeding station of the Oceanic Manta. Furthermore, the waters where Ticao lies – Ticao Pass and Burias Pass is known for the plankton rich water and constant current. Such traits make the waters of Ticao an alley for other pelagics like Whale Sharks, Thresher Sharks, Hammerheads, and Tiger Sharks.

For more relaxing and colourful dives, visit the reefs of Ticao Island and that of nearby islands. Be awestruck by the colourful creatures and corals. Best of all, in such a full and rich ecosystem, admire how each bit of life co-exists.

WHALE SHARK INTERACTION

Swim with the gentle giant of the ocean – the Whale Shark! Studies show that the world’s largest annual congregation of Whale Sharks is in the waters of Donsol and these waters are the same waters where Ticao lies.

Due to restrictions of the Department of Tourism, there is a designated, whale shark interaction area in Donsol and this is only an hour’s boat ride from Ticao Island Resort.

MT MAYON TREK

The world’s perfect cone shape can be found in Bicol Province. Take the chance to trek this world monument. It is best to do a one or two day trek up Mt Mayon before heading to Ticao Island Resort or after you leave Ticao Island Resort and head back to the airport.

For those that do not wish to trek up Mt Mayon, there are options to drive up to Base Camp 1.

FIREFLY RIVER TOUR

When it comes to changes in the condition of the air, Fireflies are said to be among the most sensitive insects. By nature, fireflies look for pure air and shun even the slightest bit of pollution. Admire the lights of these interesting insects at the mangrove lined river found on Ticao Island Resort.

SNORKELLING

With reefs a plenty, snorkelling sites are not limited. Select from snorkelling sites right in from of the resort or sites just a few minutes away by boat. Furthermore, the Philippines is at the heart of the coral triangle. With the clear waters, it is not a surprise to have an exquisite view of what lies under the ocean.

ISLAND HOPPING

Visit parts of Ticao Island that cannot be accessed from the resort and also have the chance to visit nearby islands. Be amazed with the gorgeous rock formations and weep at the beauty of the waterfalls.

To add a bit of pizzazz to your island excursions, opt for our little version of a yacht trip with the our boat, TICAO ISLAND, where basic home comforts are available – cots, toilet and bath, and a refrigerator to name a few.

HORSEBACK RIDING

It may not be the wild Wild West, but here is the chance to go horseback riding at our own little house ranch.

KAYAKING

Kayak down the mangrove lined river or at the beach in front of the resort.
